Alexandra Thurmon, a friend of Rachael Sansom's, wore this dress impeccably with a pair of purple pumps. The kick of this A-Line dress can easily flatter any shape (personally, I'd belt this look - you know that's my "thing").
Rachael Sansom recently received her BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from the Academy of Art University and debuted her designs earlier this year for the likes of Sarah Burton, Creative Director for Alexander McQueen, and renowned milliner Philip Treacy. Sansom collaborated with fellow designer Chelsea Levinson, who created the knitwear that was incorporated into each look pictured above.
Rachael says she pulled her inspiration from the paintings of David Hockney, which project his interpretation of Los Angeles in the '60s and '70s.
It's almost ridiculous how my knees buckle for graphic prints and textiles, and in colors this vibrant Sansom is making the statement of a lifetime. Ease of wear, a mixture of fabrics, and neon hues make this collection unstoppable. Rachael has received a scholarship to study at L'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture and is currently in Paris chasing her dream. I wish her all the best, and I look forward to seeing so much more of what she has to offer.
