I've had my natural hair in protective styles since May; wigs and marley twists (remember my flat twist tutorial?) have shielded my tresses from direct sunlight, humidity, and my cotton pillowcases that I refuse to throw away (I'm a creature of habit, so sue me!).
The dimpled-beauty, Ms. Susy of African Creature, recently posted a video on Youtube that gives some easy visual instructions for styling box braids. She shared this video with me a couple of weeks ago on Facebook, and I haven't stopped watching it. The braider in me is dying for a set of box braids soon!

My favorite of the styles is #5, the Hairtie Ponytail. The knotted braids with the chic hump at the crown is a definite show-stopper!
