OUTFIT: Mynt 1792 & Plus Model Magazine Blogger Conference #MyntPMM

If you remember from my visit over the summer, I adore Mynt 1792. I grew up a bit of a tomboy and Mynt 1792 allows me to tap into that side of my style with structured jackets and fitted denim (not to mention the Mynt team is really just awesome). Mrs. Madeline Figueroa Jones, Editor in Chief of Plus Model Magazine,  invited myself and some of her favorite ladies and gentlemen to preview some Fall/Holiday pieces from Mynt 1792, chat with the Mynt team, and hang out with one another - with us girls in one room, you know there's bound to be some laughs!

Two of my favorite models, Kori Spencer and Allison McGevna, were present showing off the latest looks from Mynt 1792.

I literally fall out and die for the khaki/leather jacket Kori is wearing in the last picture (I'm clearly continuing on with my leather sleeve fetish).

Callie, Mynt 1792 Designer, brought lace into Fall with a high-low hemline. Such a nice transitional piece and would look smokin' with a Mynt leather thrown on top!

Meaghan O' Connor of Little Lime Dress. Can we talk about her outfit for a second? Okay, thanks. With the pink lip? I can't take her!

With Kaela Humphries (Kris Humphries sister) rocking the Mynt 1792 brown waterfall leather like a Boss. We love Meag's phantom finger blocking the light, haha.

Catching up with the beautiful Kori Spencer - just as beautiful inside as she is out.

Ms. Kelly(ie) baby! With my main girl Kellie B. of Fatshion Insider.

Ended up in this hot number. I'm a killa in a Thriller jacket. Love the fit on this one.

Want to keep up with Mynt 1792? Visit them on Facebook and their site. Insider Scoop: They will be selling at a high-end retailer soon, shh!

Are you feeling what you've seen so far from Mynt 1792?

BEAUTY: Khroma Beauty Promo Shots

Okay, I'll admit it. The Kardashians have officially grown on me - I really admire their entrepreneurial spirits and after watching Kourtney pull Penelope from right out of her...yeah. How could you not respect that?

I recently released some sketches of the Kardashian Kurves collection, but the KK girls have moved onto other endeavors - a beauty line. Khroma Beauty is their latest brainchild that offers products to achieve flawless looks with high quality cosmetics at an affordable price. The three products listed so far areAu Naturel Nude Lip sets, Intimate Spotlight Highlighter, and Honey Sticks Lip Gloss - three of my personal cosmetic daily essentials. How natural and fresh-faced do the KK's look?!

Khroma Beauty will be launching in select locations at the end of November and will be available nationwide in January 2013. Products will be sold in Sears (obviously!), CVS, Ulta Beauty, KMart, Fred Meyer, Duane Reade, HEB, Meijer, Burlington, Harmon, and a few other places they haven't decided on yet.

Who first introduced you to makeup?
"When I was fourteen, my dad got my sisters and I makeup lessons from Joe Blasco, a professional makeup school, and videotaped all of it. We learned how to use eyeliner, foundation, concealer, and contour—things at 14, I didn't even know existed. But he really wanted us to look presentable. One day I came home wearing black lipstick and eyeliner and he freaked out."
What are your favorite makeup products from your new line, Khroma Beauty?
"I'm really big into shimmer. I like my face to be really matte, but then I like to add in the shine. We have really good shimmers. I used a little bit in the inner corners of my eyes and down my nose, and a little above my upper lip. That's my new favorite product."
What's your favorite feature to play up?
"I like to play up my eyes. I haven't been wearing lashes for the past six months, but I've gotten the same effect by using different mascaras. I start by curling my lashes, putting on a mascara, finishing my makeup, and going back with a totally different mascara. After the first one dries, its like a hard coat. It makes them even longer and thicker. You'd be shocked."
Any hero products in your makeup arsenal?
"I love to contour my nose, but not too crazy heavy. Everyone has different little insecurities. I know if I don't contour my nose then I always get a shadow in a picture on the side that makes my nose look a lot bigger. So if it's contoured and I put shimmer down the front, it saves me every time."
Any beauty regrets?
"I look back at some pictures and I want to cringe. I look at how my hair would be in these huge curls or so poofy—it literally makes me so crazy. Kourtney, Khloé, and I laugh so hard sometimes if we look at old pictures to see what our makeup looked like. We love makeup, but I think we just loved anything before. Now we're really selective and more experienced in how to apply it. There's nothing better than just a black line, some mascara, and just making it look really simple. Or a bronze-y eye with peach is pretty. Before I would have done the smokey eye with the peach and the lipliner and the lashes out to here—just everything at once. So I think there's a fine line of not overdoing it. Still having fun but not overdoing it."
The world gets to see you really glammed up—but how do you prep when you want to feel special for just one person?
"I wear my fragrance. I spray it everywhere. I put it on first before I get dressed so it's not on my clothes but it's actually on me. And I also like to spray it on my hair."
Kanye recently took over your closet. Do you ever give him beauty or fragrance advice?
"Yeah, for sure. You know, that's definitely boyfriend-girlfriend stuff that you do. Give each other tips and stuff like that."

OUTFIT: #DenimDelight with Catherines

Man, I miss my girls! I think we get so busy at this age, we forget to take a step back sometimes and enjoy the people we have around us. 2012 marks eight years of having my beautiful friend Stephanie in my life, and I'm honestly so lucky to have her around. She's there through the good, the bad, and the oogly and does it all while being so awesome and supportive - I'm not joking when I tell you I love this lady.

This past weekend marked the official end of the Summer and we met up in the park and soaked up the last bits of warm weather and I asked Steph to join in this post with me. She's a serious Glamourpuss, so I knew she'd be up for it. I'm aiming to show you guys more of my friends - I'm surrounded by such talented amazing folks and I want to share them alllllllll.

(speaking of great friends, a big hearty "hey girl!" to Tineey for taking such beautiful shots for me all the time. <3)

Catherine's asked a few ladies to style their new Fall Denim (which you should REALLY check out, there's some really great silhouettes in there!) and Steph and I were up to the challenge. She's in her everyday Fall look - leather boots, skinny denim, and a sweater blazer and im in my day-to-night blazer/dark denim combo. These Slimmer Synergy Jeans from Catherine's have all the stretch in the world making it easy for me to go from School to Saucy (what? haha).

What's a hang without a booty toonch?!

NYFW: Emerson SS '13

My fashion mantra is always "wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you" and Emerson's designer and owner, Jackie Fraser-Swan, delivers fun clothing that a girl can really rock out in. Tiered maxi skirts met palazzo pants and chiffon in awesome pattern mixes in what was personally one of the most exciting shows this season.

If you saw my milkmaid braid tutorial, you know how obsessed I am with braided styles. I absolutely died seeing so many braided crowns and updos coming down the Emerson runway (Zahi Ziani is a genius!). For more info and backstage coverage, visit Lady and the Blog.

NYFW: Rachel Antonoff SS '13

Rachel Antonoff has an incredible knack for simultaneously achieving complexity and simplicity. This season she doesn't disappoint with a very wearable collection, mixing casual sweatshirts with silk bottoms, and collared tops with loafers and breathable pants.

I was so overwhelmed by this collection - it fits one of my most distinct aesthetics to a t. I love mixing casual tops with flowing bottoms and vice versa, as well as being comfortable from top to bottom while having fun with your fashion. Antonoff accomplished all of this and more.

Time to pull my jelly shoes from the back of my closet!
